Jornada Research Institute will lead a tour for our members to a remote rock art site in Lincoln National Forest on Sunday, July 12. We are planning this hike to begin early as this will be monsoon season in the Sacramento Mountains and we need to get out before the afternoon rains. This is a difficult hike, on a scale of 1 to 5, rated a 5 (most difficult).  Good, comfortable hiking boots are a necessity and bring plenty of moleskin for those hot spots.

The estimated hike will be about 2.5 miles one way, and uphill all the way back to the vehicles. If you would like to participate, please Contact Us soon for planning purposes. We will provide specific times and meeting point once we have a better idea of the group size.

If you are not a member, you will need to join JRI prior to the tour for insurance purposes: Click on the link to find out how to Become a Member.

Thank you in advance for your interest and support.
