David Greenwald will be presenting on the status of recent investigations at Creekside Village at the El Paso Archaeology Museum on April 16th (Saturday). Plan to arrive a bit early (ca. 1:00 pm) and tour the exhibits before the presentation starts. Greenwald will discuss the extent of the current investigations, recent discoveries at the site, address future research directions and provide interpretations that are supported through various field and analytical data. He will also discuss the role of great kivas at sites such as Creekside Village, address the discovery and implications of the great kiva within the context of the Tularosa Basin and adjacent areas, and offer a variety of insights into the function of Creekside Village at the regional level. This is a great opportunity to acquaint yourselves with the El Paso Archaeology Museum and show your support for the tremendous programs that they provide, meet members of the El Paso Archaeology Society, and meet some of the research associates and members from Jornada Research Institute and find out what else we are doing.
